ALBUM DESIGN reflects on the contemporary pop music industry.
In this idol-driven industry, artists lose their personality and the right to self-expression. Creating an almost flawless idol, agencies maximize their profits since fans are expecting a perfect image.
By producing an album, we expose the common phenomenon within the East Asian entertainment industry: monetizing artists as depersonalized, homogeneous products.
